It might sound like an odd Time Management tip but one of the best things you can do to increase the amount of time you have is to eat better. Certain foods provide us with healthy energy while other foods tend to cause energy depletion throughout the day. The mid afternoon slump often occurs because we eat mostly grains for lunch after skipping breakfast all together. This practice wreaks havoc on glucose levels which cause us to feel more tired and less productive.

The best way to eat for energy is to eat four to five small meals throughout the day and always include protein in every meal. Avoid excess sugars and carbs. Most of all, don’t try to get more done by drinking energy drinks or excess amounts of coffee. This practice just results in postponing the inevitable burn out.
