Marion is a native Phoenician and is passionate about all things local, building community, ensuring children and youth succeed in having access to creative expression, and that a quality education is open to all. Marion spent the first 11 years after graduating from ASU working in the private sector in commercial property management and commercial janitorial services. Serving as a dedicated volunteer for over 10 years, Free Arts of Arizona approached her to join their staff in November of 2011. Marion cultivated and secured the largest gift in Free Arts' 20 year history and created many strategic partnerships. Marion continues to thrive in the nonprofit arena and joined Arizona School for the Arts in March 2015.
